These aren't wall posters. They're how we operate every week.
30 minutes or 2 hours, your call. Take a walk, eat a real meal, call your mum, have a nap. A rushed lunch produces a rubbish afternoon. Take the time you need and come back ready.
We don't count days because we're not your parents. Want two weeks? Six? Two on, two off, two on, two off? Fine. Three weeks a year is the unspoken minimum we'd actually like you to take. Just make sure customers are covered.
Every meeting has a point, an agenda, and a 10-minute soft cap. If it's running longer than 10 minutes it should probably have been a written doc. We're here to build a hosting platform, not to talk about building one.
Say what you mean. If something's broken, say it's broken. If an idea's brilliant, say so. No corporate fluff, no padding for tone. Honest feedback makes everyone better, faster — and it's a kindness, not a confrontation.
Work is work. Life is life. We don't expect you to live for TrueCore — we expect you to do good work, then close the laptop and go live. No "always on" expectation. Emergency response is for actual emergencies, not someone's inbox anxiety.
We care what you build, not when you build it. Work at 3am if that's your jam. Work four focused hours if that's what the task needs. Hours logged is not value created — outcomes are.
We're remote-first because the best work usually doesn't happen in an office, and the people we want to hire don't all live in the same postcode. That choice has implications — they're below.
Work from anywhere with decent internet. Async by default — no "drop everything" Slack culture. Written documentation beats verbal context. Flexible hours across time zones. Where you live is your business.
A modest hardware allowance for your setup. A budget for a co-working space if you want one. Tooling and software you need to do the job. An annual in-person team meetup once we can afford one — no pretending otherwise until then.
Books, courses, conferences, certifications — we'll fund the things that make you better at what you do. Better skills make better products, and we want both.
As TrueCore grows, the people already here get first refusal on bigger roles. Early contributors aren't sidelined when we hire properly — they're the first people we promote.
Direct work with the founder. Real feedback, real guidance, real references when you eventually move on. We'd rather you outgrow us with a good story than stay forever out of inertia.
